Desperate Housewives: Credit Crunch Hits Wisteria Lane
Gone are the days when the wardrobe department of Desperate Housewives blew thousands of dollars on the wardrobe of their stars, now the US TV network behind the show have imposed strict spending limits for costumes.
ABC has issued new rules setting a limit of $150 (£92) for accessories and $250 (£153) for a pair of shoes.
A spokesman told The Sun: “Everyone is looking at costs and there are guidelines for every single department.”
The new series of Desperate Housewives launched on Channel 4 last night. In the series Susan and Mike have broken up and Bree is a celebrity chef!
