Kathryn Joosten has revealed that her character ‘Mrs McCluskey’ will get down and dirty on the new season of Desperate Housewives.

The 69-year-old actress told TV Guide that she refused to wear an old granny nightgown for the scene and instead persuaded producers to let her wear a skimpy flesh-colored body stocking.

“They had all these old-lady nighties hanging there,” she said. “I said, ‘I’m not going to wear a nightie. We’re supposed to be in bed getting it on!’”

She added: “He’s asleep and I’m looking at him. I convinced the director to let me do one take holding a cigarette, but I’m sure they won’t use it.”
