Glastonbury wrapped up for 2014 back in June and featured some of the biggest names the music industry has to offer.
Headliners included Kasabian, Arcade Fire and Metallica and already, rumours are already beginning about the 2015 lineup.
Glastonbury always features the ‘legends’ slot on the Sunday afternoon on the Pyramid Stage and has previously been filled by the likes of Tom Jones, Kenny Rogers and this year Dolly Parton.
If you missed her performance then you’ll have missed one of the biggest Glastonbury audiences we think we’ve ever seen, everyone wanted to watch her set and she definitely didn’t disappoint.
The rumour mill is back in full force again and this time it’s Diana Ross who could be the latest star set to follow in Dolly’s footsteps and perform next year.
A source has reportedly told The Sun that Glastonbury organisers are hoping to get the legendary Supremes singer to top the performance of the 9-5 singer.
The source said:
“Glastonbury bosses were thinking it was going to be impossible to top Dolly,”
“But now it looks like they will get Diana Ross, which will be incredible. It won’t be cheap but she’s worth every penny. She still tours around the world and puts on a fantastic show.”
Backing the idea of Diana Ross was Chic guitarist Nile Rodgers who explained that the star is one of his “greatest friends” adding that “she is an incredible performer”.
He went on to say how the singer would “love to feel the vibe and the love from any festival audience”. Though we all know the audience at Glastonbury is one of the best.
Other names rumoured to appear at the festival next year include Fleetwood Mac, Depeche Mode and AC/DC among others. Who would you like to see perform?
