Did you know that Emmerdale’s Dominic Power (Cameron Murray) was once in EastEnders? Well he was, and he HATED it!

Who knew!!! Emmerdale’s Dominic power, who plays love cheat, Cameron Murray in the hit ITV soap, was once in EastEnders, but it doesn’t sound like he has any desires to return!

Power, who joined the cast of Emmerdale in 2011 as a love interest for mechanic teen-mum, Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb), has described his experience on the BBC rival soap as “awful”.

Power, who shot to real fame in 2008 playing PC Leon Taylor in long-running ITV cop show, The Bill,  once played a motorbike courier delivering a letter to Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp) the Queen Vic in EastEnders.

Speaking to the sun newspaper, the actor said:”I’d grown up watching EastEnders and to suddenly be in the Queen Vic was terrifying,”

“It was the hottest day of the year and the building was absolutely sweltering. When I walked in dressed head to toe in motorbike leathers I was a bit of light relief.

“Everyone laughed at me. I was all fingers and thumbs and I wanted the ground to swallow me up.”

Power recalls his scene with Ross Kemp saying: “I had one line, ‘Sign there mate’, to Ross Kemp, who said to me, ‘It’s not as easy as it looks’, as I fumbled to get the envelope out.

“I don’t know why I deserved that. It was an awful experience.”

Power is currently involved in one of the show’s biggest storylines and viewers last night saw him plotting to do a moonlight-flit with Debbie’s aunty, Chas (Lucy Pargeter) after they have spent the last few months sleeping with each other behind Debbie’s back, however a scare over Debbie’s pregnancy postpones their plans later this week.

Power hinted to Unreality TV at the British Soap Awards that their affair is likely to come out to coincide with the soaps 40th live anniversary episode in October.
