As she faces her own dilemmas about the care of her father, she talks to families around the country about the difficulties they have faced in obtaining help, from both the NHS and the local authority.
Many carers sacrifice employment, free time and family life to look after their loved ones, but what level of financial support or respite care do they receive? And with the number of people suffering from dementia projected to rise from 700,000 to over one million by 2025, is the Government prepared to cope?

the short answer is “no” the government is not prepared to cope with how an aging population in general, let alone the numbers projected to develop alzheimers are going to change society. perhaps now is a the time to buy shares in old peoples homes and drug companys who produce the drugs needed, its going to be a huge growth industry.
