Doctor Who 50th Anniversary: Greatest moments special to air on BBC3!
With the excitement brewing over November’s Doctor Who 50th anniversary celebrations, the BBC have revealed another treat for us all – a greatest moments type special to be aired on BBC3!
So far the line up to celebrate this momentous occasion in the world of Doctor Who includes a special episode which will feature current Time Lord Matt Smith and his companion Jenna-Louise Coleman along with their predecessor’s David Tennant and Billie Piper AND an appearance from the legendary John Hurt playing another version of the Doctor, 8.5 to be precise.
The special episode will be projected in 2D in homes across the country, as well as in 3D in selected cinema’s nationwide too.
Also on BBC2 there will be a biopic based on the hit BBC family sci-fi entertainment series, An Adventure In Space And Time, which is set to star David Bradley as the first ever Doctor, William Hartnell.
And now the BBC have announced that a greatest moments episode which is thought to include comments from fans of the show, including comedian Tom Craine who took to his official website yesterday to post to fans:
“Delighted that I’ll be appearing as a guest on a forthcoming BBC3 show celebrating 50 years of Doctor Who,
“Wouldn’t put it past me to have a few stern words to say about the Daleks.”
Doctor Who returns this November 23rd for the anniversary, starring both Doctors and their companions and will then be back on Christmas Day to see Smith regenerate into his replacement, Peter Capaldi.
