When I first read this story I wondered why Billie Piper was getting stressed during school holiday periods. I mean she’s too old for school and her first sprog hasn’t popped yet so she doesn’t have one of them annoying her for two months solid, so what’s the problem?

It turns out that Ms Piper hates the school holidays due to the hoardes of annoying kids accosting her in the street because they are sure that she is ‘Rose Tyler’.

The actress told Radio Times that “the only thing that’s stressful [about playing Rose Tyler] is walking down the street when schools are out. I don’t know how David [Tennant] does it”.

“Every child just thinks you’re Rose and you don’t want to spoil the illusion,” continued Piper. “I really feel for David because that’s his life – everywhere he goes is slightly chaotic.”

“Sweet as they are, kids en masse are kind of frightening,” she added.
