The Sun has today revealed some of the celebrities that will be starring in the newest series of the BBC’s Doctor Who.

Spaced actress JESSICA STEVENSON plays a woman who marries the Doctor.

Life On Mars hunk JOHN SIMM is the sinister Mr Saxon, who could be the Doctor’s arch enemy The Master.

Ex-Eastender MICHELLE COLLINS is McConnell, a no-nonsense woman fighting for her life in the far future.

Holby City heart-throb HUGH QUARSHIE battles flying Daleks in a double bill set in 1930s New York.

League Of Gentlemen star MARK GATISS ages 30 years as barmy Professor Lazarus. He claims to know the formula for eternal youth.

SIR DEREK JACOBI — who starred in 70s TV series I Claudius — is the Professor, who hides a dark secret.

Personally, as Life On Mars draws to a close in a few short weeks, I will be looking forward to seeing the return of the fabulously talented John Simms. I find it hard to imagine him as an evil master though……
