Doctor Who creator Steven Moffat reveals new dinosaur foes and series 7 episode titles!
Doctor Who’s executive producer Steven Moffat has teased that in the new series, the Time Lord is set to face a new foe in the form of dinosaurs!
We’ll see the hulking great enemies of the Doc during the second episode of series seven, which is set to be entitled, Dinosaurs on a Spaceship.
Of the logistics of fitting pre-historic behemoths into the Tardis, Steven told the Sun, “Dinosaurs On A Spaceship – what more do you need!
“The Doctor will come face to face with some of the most monstrous creatures evolution has ever produced, on some of the most monstrous sets we have ever built.
“We took one look at the brilliant script and said to ourselves, ‘We’re going to need a bigger corridor…’”
As we reported recently, Matt Smith – who of course plays the Doctor – revealed that the new series is set to air on the BBC as of August, and will open with the episode entitled, Asylum of the Daleks.
In the third episode, A Town Called Mercy, we’ll see the Doctor in a Wild West-style adventure which was filmed in Spain.
Of that, Moffat said, “A Town Called Mercy takes us into a genre Doctor Who hasn’t attempted since the Sixties – it’s a full-blooded Western.”
The Doctor will of coures be joined for the last time by veteran companions Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) and Rory Williams (Arthur Darvill) in series seven, and we’ll meet his new assistant, ex-Emmerdale actress Jenna-Louise Coleman, during the Christmas special.
