Doctor Who: James Nesbitt To Replace David Tennant

We all know that the current Doctor Who actor is expected to quit the job after the next series concludes. Well rumour has it that the BBC are considering Jekyll star, James Nesbitt to fill his shoes.

Cold Feet star James, is great friends with writer Steven Moffat, who is expected to take over from Russell T Davies during the next series.

An Insider told The Sun newspaper:

“Moffat has worked with James on Jekyll and the talk in BBC Drama is that he’s a shoo-in as the next Doctor.

“First a Scottish Doctor — now we could have a Northern Irish one.”

I have loved James Nesbitt since his Cold Feet days, and since he is a fellow Northern irisher, he definitely has my backing!
