Doctor Who star Karen Gillan hopes her character Amy Pond dies!
Speaking to the Daily Mirror about what would be a fitting end for Amy, Karen said, “Death would be an option.
“I don’t want Amy to pop up again every so often, because for me it would take away from the big, emotional goodbye. Once she’s gone, she’s gone.
“I want people to remember the Amy Pond era as a good one.”
Karen, who’s played the role of Doctor Who’s sidekick Amy since 2010, went on to reveal that playing a mum on the show has given her an idea of what sort of parent she may turn out to be in real life…
Karen – who’s also starred in The Kevin Bishop Show and Channel 4’s Stacked – said, “I’ve always said, ‘I’m going to be a cool mum. I’m going to let them do their own thing…
“But as I get older, and as I pretend to be a mother, in Doctor Who, I realise that I am actually quite strict.
“I will be a lot more overprotective than I thought I’d be.”
