Doctor Who star Matt Smith says Jenna Louise Coleman has revitalised the show
Former Emmerdale star Jenna Louise Coleman is of course playing the role of the Doctor’s new sidekick Clara Oswin, and today, Matt Smith, who of course plays the Time Lord, has revealed that he thinks Jenna as “revitalized” the show and him!
And while speaking to TV Biz, Matt also remarked that his new co-star is “smoking!” One assumes he means he finds her attractive and not that she’s on fire.
He said, “Jenna is smoking. She is doing wonderfully well. I look back to my first day and I was like a rabbit in the headlights. She is much more assured.”
And when asked about how things on the show had changed since Karen Gillan – who of course played Amy Pond – left, Matt said, “I was thinking about it the other day and (Amy’s husband) Rory used to take care of Amy quite a lot so the Doctor became a weird old grandfather…
“He was ostracised in some way. So it is nice having a different dynamic.
“I think the Doctor has done well on both accounts — I think they are both hot. Jenna is a joy and I lucked out again.”
“They were great friends and companions. But now we move on and the character moves on.
“It is about Jenna-Louise Coleman.”
We of course met Jenna as Clara Oswin in the first episode of the new series, but she’ll make her arrival proper during the Christmas special of the show.
