Doctor Who’s latest episode Nightmare In Silver has literally just ended and already the nice folks over at BBC have brought us a brand new spoiler and teaser clip for the next episode.
The current series comes to an end next weekend and in the episode titled ‘The Name of the Doctor’, The Doctor [Matt Smith] and Clara reflect on how little they know about one another.
Fans of the hit sci fi show may end up being disappointed when the finale goes out though as it’s been reported that despite the teasing title, viewers will NOT really find out the name of the timelord.
The Daily Star claims that while main characters featured next Saturday will indeed find out once and for all what name the titular timelord goes by, the title will not be revealed on air.
A source said: “We may have to wait another 50 years to find out. Steven Moffat is a big tease.”
A show spokeswoman added:
“We learn The Doctor’s greatest secret but it will be a surprise whether we learn his real name.”
The episode will feature the return of Alex Kingston as River Song, Neve McIntosh as Madame Vastra, Dan Starkey as Commander Strax and Catrin Stewart as Jenny and Richard E. Grant returns as Dr Simeon. River Song’s last appearance in Doctor Who was in “The Angels Take Manhattan”, and Madame Vastra, Strax and Jenny previously appeared in “The Crimson Horror”. The episode will also feature new aliens called the Whisper Men.
The episode synopsis states:
“While his friends start to disappear and The Whisper Men threaten Vastra, Jenny and Strax, the Doctor is lured into a trap that threatens to reveal his past, present and future.”
