The BBC has revealed that the infamous Doctor Who will get a new companion in the fourth series of the hit sci-fi TV show, but there will still be room for Martha.
Martha (played by Freema Agyeman) will be moving off to spin-off show Torchwood for three episodes and then returning to the main Doctor Who show for the final half of the fourth series.
Russell T Davies, the show’s executive producer and head writer said:
“Freema has been a huge part of the show’s success, gaining rave notices for her portrayal of Martha,” he added.
“Now we are taking the character of Martha into brand new territory with a starring role in Torchwood.”
