Doctor Who’s David Tennant & Billie Piper attending Midnight Convention – Tennant to go solo at Showmasters Lords Of Time event
One of the things we love most about the legend that is David Tennant, is that he isn’t desperate to leave his Doctor Who legacy behind him.
The Scottish actor of course played the titular timelord until 2010 and has went on to enjoy an incredibly diverse career ever since. Just yesterday he was announced as one of the leading stars of new ITV drama Broadchurch and last month he led the way in BBC semi improvised series True Love.
However, despite his new roles, he is still happy to connect with Sci Fi fans and it has been confirmed that the new dad will join forces with former co-star Billie Piper when they both attend the Midnight Convention at the Birmingham Hilton on Sunday 16th December 2012.
The pair – best known for their charged scenes as the Doctor and Rose – will meet and greet fans, sign autographs, pose for photographs and give a talk to the audience. They will also stick around long enough to take part in the closing ceremony. No cash and dash here!
Also attending the convention will be Torchwood stars Gareth David Lloyd and Kai Owen and Doctor Who writers Jim Swallow and Tony Lee. You can buy tickets for the event here.
As if that isn’t enough, Tennant will also be making an appearance at the Showmasters Lords Of Time Convention from the 7th – 9th September 2012.
The organisers confirmed his attendance and revealed that they will be announcing other high profile guest stars in the coming weeks.
