So I am just starting out with the Grey’s Anatomy spin off TV show, Private Practice. Addison has moved to LA and the show has been surprisingly great.

However after watching the first two episodes this morning my eyes are red raw and slightly panda like. In episode one we see a woman having a mental breakdown in a department store. Finally Violet and Cooper realise that a video advertisment of a young boy set her off, bringing back memories of her son who recently died of brain cancer. They try to talk her round, going through the details of his illness and describing how much she helped her son along the way. Weeping fit number one.

So then forward onto episode number two where it turns out that a terminally ill baby was actually switched at birth. The end of the show see the two mothers swapping back their babies and describing how they like to go to sleep, how they can be calmed and settled etc. This leads to weeping fit number two!

Roll on tonight’s episode and we’ll see if I can manage to stay dry eyed for a whole hour!!!
