Tonight sees dramatic scenes in Emmerdale when Lexi’s heartbreak over Carl’s treatment of her and the loss of her baby come to a head in a dramatic rooftop showdown that was filmed in real time.

Sally Oliver, who plays Lexi, has spoken to ITV – on the show’s website – about how her character has been pushed to the brink of madness by grief and her husband Carl’s cold attitude towards her.

“When Lexi lost her baby, she was the most heartbroken she’s ever been” Sally said, adding, “I think it’s something that she’s dealing with right up until Nicola has hers.”

“She feels incredibly hurt by the way Carl has treated her and that he’s admitted he doesn’t want children.

“Then she sees him cuddling Nicola’s baby and she feels so hurt and angry with him and just so sad because he’s all that she wants and she can see him slipping away.”

It will all come to a dramatic head tonight when we’ll be left wondering if Lexi or Carl dies after a rooftop struggle.
