Don’t miss the tragic but heroically brave Jade Goody’s latest documentary, Jade’s Progress, which is on tonight on Living at 9pm.
Jade had previously commented that… “There are a number of things in my life that have tried to pull me down and I’ve bounced back up through.”
“This I’ve got no control of but I will take it with both hands and take control of it and smash it down and walk all over it. So yes, I will survive cancer. I have to.”
Now, sadly, it seems that indomitable fighting spirit was not enough to halt the ravages of this disease and Jade is now facing up to her own death.
When Living began filming with Jade Goody in the summer of 2008 for the fly-on-the-wall documentary ‘Living With Jade Goody’, what started as a light-hearted insight into the life of the ex-Big Brother contestant has taken a devastatingly sinister turn as it now documents her final months as cancer has overwhelmed her…
Since the first episodes, Jade and Jade:The Next Chapter, viewers have seen how her life has changed beyond recognition as she was first diagnosed with cervical cancer and then as she came to terms with her disease.
Cameras subsequently followed Jade as she underwent a hysterectomy, embarked on cancer treatment – and dealt with its traumatic consequences – whilst continuing to care for her boys and as she bravely carried on working.
Earlier this month though, Jade was rushed to The Royal Marsden Hospital after collapsing at her home and it was there that she received the heartbreaking news that her cancer had spread.
‘Jade’s Progress’ tonight documents her reaction to her devastating prognosis, as well as recapping the events in her life from where ‘The Next Chapter’ left off, including having Jack back with her after his prison release.
The cameras will continue to follow Jade as she undergoes further experimental treatment whilst trying to remain strong for her two boys, Bobby and Freddie, and arranging her wedding to Jack.

I have loved Jade since she first stepped into big brother house. I wish all the best for wedding and am thing and praying for her.

Jade, God doesn’t want to take you away of your children, He want you to live, to be a mother for as long as they’ll need you. May the Angels surround you and whispered in your ears the good News of Jesus…Amen!

thank you jade for opening up your life to us through the living series im a mum to three little boys myself and i am in awe of how you are so strong you are the backbone of all mums out there and inside you must be hurting with how much love you want to share with your family at this terrible time but you are still strong,i have cried at everything i have seen or read about you because it could quite easily be any of us in your situation and im terrified at the thought,but how selfish is that but i promise you its what all mums out there are thinking so good on you for making all us women face up to our responsibilities as women by taking care of our health.

I have to say I have never particularly like Jade, but i have found her spirit and courage to her diagnosis amazing. She deals with everything so matter-of-factly and just kets on with it. I think is is a devastating pity that her cancer is terminal and I wish her and her family well, and hope she can spend a bit more quality time with them.
My heart goes out to jade, im a 27 year old mother and recently got married myself, I know i couldnt be as brave as jade is. Life has dealt her such a raw deal. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family

jade,i feel you have been so courageous,through your battle,must be so hard for family,and close ones.i think what you have done,to bring cancer to light,is a wonderful,brave thing to do,and your mum,and family,and friends must be so proud of you.i am proud of you to hold up as you have too.im pleased that you have done everything you wanted to do,good on you,keep it up.your wedding was emotional,but so magical,you looked amazing,you sparkled that day,well done.your boys will grow up,to always remember the person you are,and will do well,they will carry life through for you.keep up all your good work,and dont listen to any rubbish out there.most are with you.all the best.xxx

Jade, I truly understand what you are going through I to was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer, it is a tough battle. I learned through my journey as you always said WE have to crush the Cancer and take control of it. Your a beautiful and loving mother; as a Christian I believe in Miracles and I know that GOD has always been with you and by your side. My prayers have been with you since the beginning of your journey. May God Bless you and your loved ones.
