Don’t Miss: More Sex Please, We’re British on C4, Tuesday, May 8th (VIDEO)
In documentary More Sex Please, We’re British, which airs on Tuesday 8 May at 10pm on Channel 4, we’ll go behind the scenes of online sex toy empire, Lovehoney, and we’ll meet the people who deal with the rather horrific prospect of customer returns.
C4’s press release about the frank film reads…
Lovehoney is a thriving operation that brings sexual pleasure to the women and men of Britain through the click of a button. Founded in 2002 by Neal Slateford and Richard Longhurst, Lovehoney has seen its sales increase each year to a current total of £16 millon.
As we’ll hear, according to Lovehoney’s reckoning, around half the population of Britain owns at least one sex toy. And that’s good news for them, given the UK sex-toy market is worth an estimated £250 million…
However, as high street retailers such as Boots, Tesco and Superdrug are now stocking sex toys, the market is set to continue to expand, but will we all choose to buy our buzzy friends discreetly online or face the embarrassment of paying at the till in Tesco for it?
Also in More Sex Please, We’re British, w’ll meets the people who work at the company’s HQ in Bath, who send out around 11,000 parcels a week, which contain everything from adult toys and sexy lingerie, to erotic literature and adult games.
Here’s a spoiler clip from this enlightening film…
