It looks like fans of Downton Abbey are in for another glorious treat tomorrow night, as they are invited to another Crawley wedding, this time lady Edith’s!

Fans of the show will know how unlucky-in-love-and-life, Edith (Laura Carmichael)  has been practically stalking Sir Anthony  Strallan (Robert Bathurst) despite the disapproval of her family and the fact she is around 25 years his junior.

Last week viewers saw Edith’s dad, Lord Grantham (Hugh Bonneville), finally cave in and allow Sir Anthony to attend family functions, despite his mother, The Countess Dowager (Dame Maggie Smith), thinking her granddaughter’s chosen man was lame due to a war injury.

No sooner were the pair alone they agreed to get married, with Strallan planning to seek permission from the Ear the next day, and by the pictures of Edith in her vintage wedding dress, we can only assume that permission was in deed granted!

Elsewhere in the great house, Mrs Hughes receives her cancer results whilst Anna (Joanne Froggatt) continues to try and clear her husbands name.
