BBC Three’s contemporary comedy Drop Dead Gorgeous, following a teenager’s career on the catwalk and its effect on her modest, working-class family, returns for a new series.

In tonight’s first episode, Ashley’s agent, Murray, gets to sign the most important contract of his life – in a wedding so flamboyant and extravagant that it would put Jordan and Peter’s to shame.

Relations between Ashley and her green-eyed twin, Jade, are as strained as ever as Ashley’s status goes international with a major casting for a huge designer label.

Super-mum Pauline is still firmly in tow, pushing her way to the top of the Slique modelling agency, but the Bluetooth headset, BlackBerry and swish leather briefcase can’t hide the fact that the pressure is still on at home. Ashley’s priorities have changed and she’s flunked her exams; dad Terry is finding his status as head of the family under threat; and the Webb family is rocked by terrible news about Tiggsy.
