As fans of Emmerdale will know, Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) is oblivious to the fact that her boyfriend Cameron Murray (Dominic Power) is having an affair with her aunt Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter)…
However, Debbie’s dad Cain (Jeff Hordley) does suspect that Cameron’s playing away, but he too has no clue that it’s with his sister Chas that Cameron’s wick dipping.
But in forthcoming episodes, Cain can’t hide his disdain towards Cameron, and as he of course lives with Debbie and Cam, the strain begins to tell on Debbie and ends up with her being rushed to hospital after she falls ill.
Debbie is of course pregnant with the saviour sibling that she conceived with Andy Sugden (Kelvin Fletcher) in order to have the new baby provide bone marrow to her Fanconi Anaemia sufferer daughter Sarah…
So of course, the baby is top of Debbie’s priorities, but Cameron has felt left out with all that going on, which is why the affair with Chas began. But soon after he and Chas decide to flee the village so they can be together properly, as mentioned above, Debbie’s rushed to A&E.
It’s not known yet exactly what prompts the hospital dash, or if the baby will survive, but it’s been confirmed that in the wake of the emergency, Chas and Cameron will realize that they can’t put their own happiness ahead of everything that’s going on with Debbie.
But is she about to find out about their affair anyway?
Tune in during the first week of July to see that drama begin, and also to see Laurel and Marlon becoming close again now that Laurel is of course separated from husband Ashley (John Middleton).
As fans will recall, though they didn’t sleep together, Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) and Marlon (Mark Charnock) fell in love last year, but after Ashley discovered their sort-of affair, Laurel chose to end it with Marlon to try to make a go of her marriage.
But of course, when it was revealed that Ashley had been physically abusive towards his dad Sandy (Freddie Jones) Laurel threw him out of the house and has now told him she wants a divorce.
Speaking to TV Times, Charlotte said of Laurel and Marlon reigniting their passion, “It’s inevitable, really…
“I think they deserve that happiness and it’s definitely what viewers want – they keep asking me when it’s going to happen.
”Laurel fell in love with Marlon and she only stayed with Ashley because it was the right thing to do.
“Now her marriage is over, it’s time for her to think about what she wants.”
I can’t wait to see Laurel and Marlon together again! Are you looking forward to seeing how their romance works out second time around?
