EastEnders: Alfie Moon comes face to face with Kat’s lover during a game of poker *pun intended (VIDEO)

The whole Who’s Having An Affair With Kat Moon storyline has gone on for about 23 years now, and from a starting line up for five suspects – who were Michael Moon, Ray Dixon and all three Branning brothers – we’re now down to a choice of Max, Derek or Jack Branning…

However, as we saw a few weeks ago, Kat (Jessie Wallace) confessed the affair to long-suffering husband Alfie (Shane Richie) and he – of course – forgave her transgression yet again, given that she vowed it was over.

But of course, she refused to tell Alfie who her lover was/is, and has since dedicated herself to righting the wrongs in her marriage.

And it’s to that end that she invites Alfie out on a date – a romantic meal for two – next week, but it doesn’t get off to a good start when all the Branning brothers turn up for a game of poker…

Alfie it seems had completely forgotten about card game, so, keen not to let Kat down, he tells Derek (Jamie Foreman), Jack (Scott Maslen) and Max (Jake Wood) to carry on without him and their game at the pub anyway.

However, when Derek spots a receipt from a pawn shop pinned to the notice board in the Moons’ kitchen – Kat of course pawned her mother’s engagement ring to pay off the rent they owed Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) – nobody thinks much of it, or so it seems…

But later, Kat finds an envelope addressed to her which contains the precious ring. So if we knew which of the brothers had got that ring back for her, we’d know who she’s been having an affair with! Assuming anyone still cares that it is…

We’ll see those scenes on Friday, but ahead of that, in tonight’s visit to Walford, we’ll see Denise Fox (Diane Parish) telling Fatboy (Ricky Norwood) that their brief but passionate fling is over.

Here’s a sneak peek…

Aww poor Fatboy…
