Barbara Windsor has revealed that when filming scenes for Frank Butchers funeral next week, all the tears she sheds will be real ones, for her old friend Mike Reid.

Reid, who played Frank Butcher in the soap, passed away last year and Barbara was pictured in tears at his funeral, now she has to do it all over again as they film his Albert Square send off.

“My tears will be completely real,” explained Barbara in a chat with the Daily Star.

“We start filming those scenes in the next few days and I think they will be incredibly tough because Mike was such a great friend of mine. I knew him for over 40 years, so I can promise that the tears on the day will be real.”
