The BBC have cut a scene of a baby crying out of Sundays omnibus episode due to complaints from the public.

The Sun reports:

The tot was screaming in a scene featuring Jim Branning on Monday.

One viewer said on an internet fan site: “What got me so upset was when Jim was holding the baby in the lounge by himself.

“The baby was almost beetroot in colour and his hands were clenched tight, his arms visibly shaking and his breath was catching. It’s awful.”

A spokesman said: “We apologise to viewers who were distressed.

“The baby’s guardian was on stand-by throughout the filming of the scene and was given complete freedom to step in if she felt the baby was under undue stress.”
