Eastenders: Boris Johnson Fluffs His Lines

We told you recently that fame hungry Boris Johnson was making an appearance on BBC soap Eastenders, but his scene didn’t go quite as planned.
Boris will appear in a scene with Peggy Mitchell and went in to film his part last week.
Barbara Windsor, who plays Peggy, told The Mirror: “Boris said to me, ‘I think I know my lines,’ but we got a little bit of comedy accidentally.
“He did something then said, ‘Oh I shouldn’t have done that!’ But I told him to keep it in on the take.”
Barbara admitted that Boris’ appearance was somewhat of a surprise to her.
Barbara, 71, said: “It was a big secret until two days before and I thought, ‘Why have I got this blank page?’
She reveals some of the storyline which sees Boris appear.
“She [Peggy] comes in and the whole of the Square is in a mess and she starts moaning about the rubbish. Anyway, Boris arrives at the pub and that’s the scene from there.
“He walked in and he only had an hour and he came on his bicycle. He shook hands with everyone. He was absolutely superb.”
