Eastenders bosses are said to be setting up single mother, Dawn Swann to become the next Pauline Fowler.

An insider told The Daily Star: “Pauline was quite a catch back in the day. But after years of being downtrodden by her family you wouldn’t have guessed it.

“Kara is one of the soap’s most popular actresses and they want her to stay in the Square for years. So they’re making her the head of her own family.

“Although it’s not a conventional one, it is a true reflection of family life today.

“We’ll just have to wait and see whether she’ll start wearing dowdy cardigans like Pauline.”
