EastEnders star Chucky Venn has revealed that working with his co-star Tameka Empson – who of course plays the exuberant Kim Fox – can be exhausting!

Chucky, who joined the cast of the show last year having starred in Dream Team and Footballers’ Wives, made his remarks in a video for the show’s official website.

He said of Tameka – who’s formerly starred in Beautiful People and Whitechapel – “Tameka is a bundle of almost limitless energy. She’s a very bubbly girl.

“I knew I was going to able to bounce with her, but I just didn’t realise how quick and how much energy she was going to have.

“She’s such a sharp thinker and she’s always trying to bring something to her scene…

“And I’m similar, but in terms of the comedic element that’s more her forte, so in a way I underestimated her.

“Working with her – every day you’ve got to be on your toes, you’ve always got to be sharp.”

In the soap, Chucky’s character Ray Dixon is of course dating Tameka’s character Kim, and of their behind the scenes relationship, he added, “We love to play fight a lot and it’s great because it keeps that kind of bond with us.

“And it helps because I like to think it shows on screen.

“It doesn’t feel strange for us to kiss and hug and be flirtatious and all that stuff, which is what I think adds to the relationship that they have.”
