EastEnders: Cora is livid with Tanya for going behind her back to meet Ava! And Derek nearly catches kissing cousins Joey and Lauren! (VIDEO)

Tanya Branning is about to find out that her mother Cora Cross does not take kindly to being kept in the dark, much less being lied to, when she finds out that Tanya went behind her back to meet her sister, Ava Hartman…

We’ll see Tanya dragging a reluctant Patrick (Rudolph Walker) along with her when she goes to meet Ava (Claire Perkins) tonight, having tracked her down on the internet.

As we saw in last night’s episode, Ava’s the head teacher of a school that’s just minutes away from the Square, so Tanya goes there on the pretence of wanting her son Oscar to go to school there…

However, though it had been her intention tell Ava who she really is, Tanya (Jo Joyner) bottles out and leaves in a hurry, accidentally leaving her purse behind.

Later on, Ava notices the purse and checks it for an address, and finding one, she decides to drop it off to Tanya the next day…

Which she does! However, Tanya’s not in but Cora is, and as a thank you to the stranger for her kindness, Cora invites her in for a cup of tea. And of course, neither woman is aware that they’re meeting as mother and daughter for the first time!

When Tanya returns to the house, it’s just as Ava’s explaining how she came to find the purse, and it’s soon clear to Cora that there’s something going on…

And she’s going to go hairless when she finds out!

Talking of people finding things out, cousins Joey (David Witts) and Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) run the risk of being caught out when they nip down an alleyway for a quick snog…

However, Joey’s dad Derek (Jamie Foreman) sees the couple – though he doesn’t realize who Joey’s kissing as she has her back to him – and does his “that’s my boy” routine as Lauren hides in the shadows!

The fact that they were so nearly discovered is what prompts Joey and Lauren to decide to flee the Square together this week, but their plan goes horribly wrong when they end up in a devastating car crash!

We’ll see that later on in the week, but for now, here’s a sneak peek look at tonight’s episode…
