Insiders have revealed that crash scenes recently filmed for Eastenders, are the most expensive scenes ever made for a UK soap opera.
The scenes will see Phil Mitchell and Ian Beele return from a fathers days out when they crash. The adults escape but the car rolls down a muddy slope into a lake and Phil is left to rescue the two boys.
“Ben and Peter’s lives are left in the balance,” an EastEnders insider told the Sunday Mirror. “Viewers have to wait and see if either makes it. This will be the biggest cliffhanger since the hunt for who shot Phil.
“Ian is in agony with injuries to his arms and legs so he can only sit and watch helplessly as Phil battles against time to get to the boys.”
