Eastenders: Dot Cotton’s so pleased to have her Nick back

EastEnders actress June Brown has told a radio interviewer that she’d been campaigning for John Altman to return to the BBC soap for more than five years.

Earlier this year, the 81 year old actress spoke out about how her character Dot Cotton needs her son Nick back in the Square and how she’s now very happy that John Altman, who plays Nick, has been asked to come back by the soap’s bosses.

During an interview with Scottish radio station Larnarkshire FM, June said, “He’s coming back and because he’s doing a pantomime, which was already booked, he has to go off for a couple of months and then he comes back again.”

She added, “I’m so pleased because I’ve been fighting to get him back for at least five years and I’ve finally succeeded.”

Where on earth did Dots money come from?

  3. Helen says:

The money originally belonged to Bradley who had won lots of money betting on a horse. Bradley asked Dot to look after the money for him.
