Fans of EastEnders will surely know that cousins Lauren and Joey Branning are about to realize that they’re attracted to each other…

However, in the weeks leading up to Christmas on the Square, Lauren and Joey will fall in love, and it’s expected that their family and friends are set to find out just how close the cousins are over the festive period.

We’ll see Lauren and Joey sharing their first kiss in the episode that air on November 1st and ahead of the start of the big storyline, Jacqueline Jossa and David Witts, who of course play the roles of Lauren and Joey, have posed for a sexy photo shoot!

We have the rest of the glamorous pics for you after the jump, but first, of the controversial storyline, a show insider recently told the Daily Star, “This is going to be a huge storyline across the autumn.”

The source added, “Lauren hits the booze and shows her vulnerable side to Joey. He’s there for her and feels very protective…

“The more time they spend together the more they start to realise their feelings for each other are not just that of cousins.

“It’s a powerful force. The attraction is so strong between them that it’s going to take something huge to stop them jumping into bed.”

And in addition to the love affair between Lauren and Joey, we’re also going to see them involved in what could easily have been a fatal car crash after they go joyriding in Derek Branning’s car – you can click here to read about that – however, their lives are saved by Joey’s dad Derek, who drag them free of the wreckage before the car explodes.

But it was recently announced that Jamie Foreman, who plays Derek, is leaving the show at the end of the year, and of that, David told Inside Soap that he’s “sad” that Jamie’s leaving.

He said, “I’m sad, all my early memories of being in EastEnders are with Jamie.

“Jamie’s been so generous with his time and really looked after me. But I doubt he’ll be sad for long because I know he’ll move on to other great jobs.”

And when asked how Joey will react to his dad’s exit from Walford, he replied, “You’d think he’d shrug it off…

“But Joey is all over the place, so his reaction may be surprising.”

It has been rumoured that Derek could be killed off by thugs who catch up with him over a long standing debt, but that hasn’t been confirmed.

We’ll keep you posted on that, but for now, here are the rest of the pics from the photo shoot…
