Eastenders: Jake Wood On Max Being Buried Alive!
Eastenders actor, Jake Wood has given a great interview to The Sun today in which he talks about this weeks episode that sees him being buried alive in a shallow grave.
We definitley had some concerns about this storyline. It seemed way to ‘out there’ to be believable, but Jake, who plays Max Branning, insists the episodes are well written and thought out.
The 35-year-old says: “They’re great episodes and brilliantly written. It’s everything you can hope for when you’re on EastEnders, that you’ll keep busy and do successful story lines.
“Being buried alive seems quite extreme when you first read about it but the writers have done it justice.
“When they do something like this you just hope it’s written well so it doesn’t seem like it’s just come out of nowhere – and I don’t think this does.
“Viewers who have been watching for the last 18 months will see where Tanya’s motives have come from.
“It’s been done sensitively in that it’s the culmination of a year’s story lines. It does make sense rather than being crowbarred in for shock value.”
