In forthcoming episodes of EastEnders, we’re going to see that tired and stressed out new mum Janine Moon becomes increasingly suspicious about her husband Michael’s behaviour…

She already thinks he may be having an affair – and of course, he’s in the running to be Kat Moon’s mystery man – and of course, since he made her tear up their pre-nup on the day of their wedding, she’s long suspected he’s only hanging around for her money.

So, in an all or nothing decision, Janine (Charlie Brooks) presents Michael (Steve John Shepherd) with an ultimatum which boils down to, “It’s the cash or me…”

Not even giving him the option of phoning a friend, Janine will place a bag full of cash in front of Michael, and tell him that he can have all the money, but if he takes it, it’s the end of their marriage and the end of his contact with his daughter, Scarlett…

An EastEnders insider told the Daily Star, “Michael is unsettled by Janine’s sudden desire to give him everything he wants.

“Viewers will be left wondering if he is willing to play along with her games – and what choice he will make.”

Well we’ll find out what he decides to do on September 13, but in the meantime, the issue of Kat’s (Jessie Wallace) affair is of course still to be resolved, but with each episode, we’re getting nearer to finding out his identity!

For now though, here’s a sneak peek at tonight’s trip to Walford…
