EastEnders: Janine will call her baby girl Scarlett! And Lacey Turner on her sisters’ TV roles

As fans of EastEnders will know, Janine Malloy – who may or may not be Janine Moon by the end of next week – is heavily pregnant, and it’s been revealed today that when her daughter is born, the baby will be named Scarlett.

However, when the baby’s born, Janine names her Patricia, after Pat Evans of course who was Janine’s step-mother, but someone close to Janine has other ideas about the name, and she loses out on her first choice when the baby is registered as Scarlett!

Of the news about the baby girl’s name, a show insider told the Star, “The name choice may be an omen for things to come…

“With a mother like Janine, this little girl is sure to be a fighter.”

It has been rumoured recently that Janine will go into labour on her wedding day, and it’s also been speculated that Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd) will attempt to abduct the baby at some point…

Charlie Brooks, who of course plays Janine, is set to go on a six month break from the show in August.

In other news, former EastEnders star Lacey Turner who of course played the role of Stacey Slater, reckons her sister Lily Harvey is loving playing Shenice on the show, because she’s “a drama queen.”

Shenice was of course taken in by Kat and Alfie Moon – who are played by Jessie Wallace and Shane Richie – last year after her mother Monica, an old friend of Kat’s, proved to be less than capable of taking care of the youngster.

Lacey’s other sister Daisy, who’s 21, appeared briefly in Hollyoaks in the role of Jenny.

When asked by the Radio Times if her own success as an actor had inspired her sisters to follow suit, Lacey said, “Maybe, because none of them were interested in acting at all, especially Daisy.

”With Lily, it’s in her blood – she’s a drama queen! – and I think she’ll probably carry it on.”

Lacey of course left EastEnders in 2010, and she now stars in Sky Living supernatural drama Bedlam, BBC’s True Love and is shortly to appear in another supernatural drama, Switch.
