EastEnders actress, Jasmyn Banks, has admitted that she is a lot wilder than her on-screen character in real life, and Pixie Lott can vouch for it!
The actress, whose character Alice Branning is a bit of a fading wall-flower in the award-winning BBC soap, apparently spends most of her free time partying with the singing star!
Speaking to The People, the actress explained:
“I don’t see much of myself in Alice. I’m passionate as a person, not mouthy but I would stand up for myself,” Banks told The People.
“That’s the one thing I struggle with. I just feel like telling Alice, ‘Come on – stop being so wet’. I’m used to being the confident and bubbly person in the group. To be honest I felt a bit robbed of my identity.
“Now everyone knows I’m not like Alice. I’ve got a wild side, I love to party. I haven’t fallen out of a club, but if you’re talking about being horribly drunk, I’ve been guilty of it.
“That’s how me and Pixie got close, everyone would go home and we would stay out. She can drink more than me as I’m such a lightweight, I have to watch myself otherwise it’s game over.”
Banks, whose character is currently involved in the on-going custody battle between Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd) and Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) went on to say how if there was anything that could get her character to stand up and be counted, it would be her loyalty and protection of Michael, who she has a huge crush on, and baby Scarlet who she looks after for him.
Alice was employed by Michael as Scarlet’s nanny after Janine up sticks and left him, quite literally, holding the baby.
