Eastenders June Brown receives MBE
Eastenders legend June Brown, who plays Dot Cotton, received an MBE yesterday at Buckingham Palace.
The 81 year old actress – who looked more elegant than poor old Dot could ever hope to – said that she was highly honoured to receive the MBE from the Queen and called the experience “remarkable”.
June said, “Dot would have been absolutely delighted. She’s a great royalist and a fairly good Christian. She wavers off but so do we all.”
June received the MBE in recognition of her work for charity and drama.
