EastEnders: Kat Moon’s affair storyline kicks off but who is her mystery man? Place your bets!
It’s no secret that Kat Moon struggles to keep her knickers on when a man – any man at all it seems – chats her up, and of course, poor long suffering mug Alfie (Shane Richie) always but always forgives her…
However, as Kat (Jessie Wallace) is about to embark on an affair with one of the Square’s residents, will this too close to home dangerous liaison prove to be the straw that breaks Alfie’s back where Kat’s infidelity is concerned?
Well, that of course remains to be seen, but the BBC have officially confirmed that there are five runners – or perhaps more aptly, riders – in the Who’s Doing Kat stakes, and they are, Derek Branning and his brothers Max and Jack, Ray Dixon and Michael Moon.
The five men are all going to wander into the sights of human Venus Flytrap Kat as she organises the Queen Vic’s football team…
Of the plotline, a show insider told the Daily Star, “You’d think the way Kat got rid of her love rival Roxy Mitchell that she’d stay loyal to Alfie but she doesn’t.
“Alfie is the one she wants but she’s not getting the right attention from him so decides to look elsewhere.
“She flirts with a number of blokes to get them to join the football team, which leads her to get closer to one of them.
“Viewers are going to be shocked when they discover who her secret man is.
“She also has to keep it from Alfie – she’ll go to extraordinary lengths to keep her affair secret and even gets a second mobile phone so she can speak to her fella.
“Alfie has forgiven her before but an affair is very different from a drunken one-night stand.
“Of all the suspects Jack and Ray are the most likely but in Albert Square anything can happen.”
So, who do you think is going to do a spot of wick dipping with Kat? I think the likeliest candidate would be Max, who, like Kat, has difficulty staying faithful when pretty much anyone offers him a bit of how’s your father.
But that said, he’s just got things back on track with Tanya, so would he risk that?
Ray I think would be too obvious, and Jack’s single, so that wouldn’t cause much of a ruckus in some regards…
So that leaves us with Derek and Michael, both of whom Kat supposedly can’t stand!
It’s official, I’m flummoxed, so please do share your theories on who it’ll be and why!
