Kat Moon is back in Walford, and we’ll see her arrival on June 7th, and for poor Jean Slater, it’s not a moment too soon because of course Kat understands Jean’s mental health issues and knows exactly what to do to help Jean.

However, what remains to be seen is whether devious Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd) can con Kat – the way he’s managed to con everyone else – into believing that Jean (Gillian Wright) made up the story about giving him thousands of pounds, including the pub’s VAT money.

The drama begins when, as mentioned, Kat (Jessie Wallace) arrives home, having been away for three months to care for her dad Charlie – when in actuality, Jessie needed a break from work having exhausted herself – and finds a distraught Jean crying uncontrollably in the bath while fully dressed…

Roxy (Rita Simons) meanwhile, can only stand by and watch as she has no idea how to calm Jean down, and although Kat’s the last person Roxy wanted to see, she’s relieved that Kat knows how to deal with Jean.

As Jean sobs while telling Kat the Michael conned her, Kat believes every word, and vows that she’ll get the money back, telling Jean not to worry. And as good as her word, she storms over to the gym and demands he repay all the money Jean gave him.

However, as Michael spins his yarn, telling Kat and Alfie that Jean’s delusional and imagined the whole thing, Alfie believes his cousin, but will Kat be taken in or will she continue to believe Jean?
