Young Libby Fox is in for a shock this month when she discovers that her crazy dad is due for release from prison.

The last time Libby saw Owen he tried to drown her, he was subsequently sentenced to three years in prison. However on her 18th birthday Libby finds out that he is on the brink of release.

A source told The Daily Star: “It’s ­Libby’s 18th birthday and she’s surprised to see her gran Liz make an unexpected appearance.

“At first Libby thinks Liz is just there for her birthday celebrations but it soon becomes clear she’s come back to Walford to persuade Libby to visit her dad.

“Libby is adamant that she does not want anything to do with her dad but in the end agrees to see him.

“Libby heads off to the prison in secret and is stunned when her dad appears to be genuinely remorseful.

“As visiting time comes to a close, he tells Libby he has been given a release date and could be out in a couple of months.

“Libby is shocked but can’t quite work out how she really feels.

“Half of her wants to forgive her dad and the other half is scared he’s going to hurt her again.

“She’s also scared her mum Denise may find out about what’s been going on.”
