Eastenders holyman Lucas isn’t quite as snowy white as he may seem. After letting the halo slip last Christmas, when he slept with his ex-wife Trina, he is about to break yet another of the ten commandments – ‘Thou Shalt Not Kill.’

This Tuesday Trina shows up on the Square, off her face on drugs and trying to give their son Jordan a stolen phone for his birthday. She has been sleeping rough in Charlie Slaters summerhouse at the allotments and Lucas stupidly agrees to let her shower at his. Of course one slip of the towel later and the pair fall into bed.

The next day Trina blackmails Lucas, threatening to tell Denise that his vow of chastity was a complete farce, so Lucas follows her to the allotment and pushes her over. Trina lands on a garden rake, which spikes her head. Ever the concerned preacher, Lucas doesn’t bother saying a prayer for her soul, or even phone an ambulance. Trinas body is discovered the next day, leaving both Denise and Lucas as police suspects.
