Coming up on EastEnders, psycho Ben Mitchell (Joshua Pascoe) is set to get his dad Phil (Steve McFadden) to throw Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) out of the house…

It all begins when scheming Ben comes up with the perfect way to get his dad to get rid of Shirley – who has of course been making Ben’s life pretty miserable, given she hates his guts – by telling his dad that he’s been sleep-talking about killing Heather.

Ben adds that if it’s something that happens again, and Shirley hears it, the jig will be well and truly up.

Phil agrees and immediately, if reluctantly, goes downstairs and provokes a row with Shirley, after which he orders her out of the house…

Poor Shirley, who’s just asked Phil to marry her, is of course baffled and bewildered by the sudden turn of events, and feels more alone and isolated than ever before.

Ben meanwhile gloats, fully aware of just how much he has his dad wrapped around his sadistic little finger…

However, things could be about to go badly awry for Ben when he has to attend the psychiatric evaluation that the court ordered, and he comes close to revealing just how twisted he really is.

During the consultation with the psychiatrist, Ben reveals that he knowingly set out to put his dad Phil behind bars over the death of Stella Crawford, and he tells the psychiatrist that he believes he was “born evil.”

Gotta say, I agree, but will Ben’s confession go even further and see him spilling the beans about Heather’s death?

We’ll find out as of tonight’s episodes, and don’t forget, one of the Mitchell men – so rumour has it – will be arrested at Heather’s wake!
