In an episode of EastEnders that’s set to air later this month, Tanya and Max Branning are due to set a date for their wedding, which will of course be their second time down the aisle…
However, as we’re set to find out who’s been bedding Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) this week, I’m thinking that the news about the wedding would indicate that Max (Jake Wood) is out of the running in the whodunit over Kat’s affair.
Mainly because surely Tanya (Jo Joyner) wouldn’t be planning on marrying Max if she learned that he’d been doing the do with Kat?
That said though, I guess that doormat Alfie (Shane Richie) may, for the sake of the mystery man’s other half, keep the news of the affair a secret. He is of course going to hear Kat confess to having been unfaithful yet again in this week’s shows…
So I suppose though he’s technically still in the running to turn out to be Mr Lover Lover, I still think it’s going to be Michael who’s unveiled as the mystery man. What do you think?
Anyway, back to the news of the Branning re-match vis-à-vis matrimony, Max is prompted to set a date after his mother-in-law Cora (Ann Mitchell) receives a donated wedding dress for her charity shop…
Tanya apparently holds it in front of her, and, seeing how beautiful she looks, Max disappears but returns later with a gift for Tanya. When she opens the gift wrapped box, she finds a 2012 calendar, and in it, Max has circled December 24!
In a recent interview with Inside Soap, Jo hinted at a big storyline for the Brannings at Christmas, saying, “It’s going to be a very busy time for Tanya and her family.
“We’re currently filming some heart-rending scenes with her mother Cora, and I’ve heard Christmas is going to be a whopper for the Brannings.
“You’d better watch this space!”
Jo also recently revealed that she’s taking a few months off from the show early in 2013, and it’s expected that her absence will be explained by the outcome of the festive storylines.
