Eastenders: OFCOM Complaints Rise Over Jay’s Stabbing

OFCOM have received in excess of 200 complaints this week after scenes showing teenager, Jay Brown, being stabbed were aired.

Many people have complained about the obviously violent scenes being aired pre-watershed, stating that there was a good chance that many children and young teenagers saw the show.

I actually missed the episode myself, though it has been Sky +’d so I’ll watch it over the weekend, however, I have noticed a definite decline in morality in Albert Square over the last few months.

This week we had Jay stabbed, before Christmas we saw a violent gang storm the Vic and hurt heavily pregnant Honey. And to top it all off, we have seen Roxy Mitchell become more vulgar by the week…..did anyone see the episode where she claimed she could hardly walk after her night of passion?

I’m not sure I like this new chav version of my favourite sopa opera. I preferred it when everyone was slepping with everyone elses cousins, and evil siblings/ex-lovers were popping out of the woodwork every few weeks. If I wanted to watch something more ‘real’, I’d be watching Channel 4 documentaries, thank you very much!
