Pat Butcher and Peggy Mitchell are set to go head to head once more, as Eastenders marks the death of one of it’s most loved characters, Frank Butcher.

Bosses were forced to kill of the character after actor, Mike Reid, died last year. In March the show will mark his passing by bringing back all Frank’s old family for a huge Albert Square send off.

However, bad blood will rise again between Peggy and Pat as they argue over who Frank loved more. Pat was Franks first love, but he divorced her and later married Peggy, who he then cheated on with Pat….confused yet?

Show boss Diederick Santer told The Sun: “The funeral brings all the old emotions bubbling to the surface.

“Peggy has never forgiven Pat for having an affair with ‘her Frank’. And Pat is convinced that she was always Frank’s true love.

“Neither is prepared to let bygones be bygones and they end up having a ruck.”
