There has recently been speculation that the BBC are considering bringing Danniella Westbrook back into Eastenders as Sam Mitchell.

Although sources have denied that plans are afoot, actress Patsy Plamer admitted that she would love to see Daniella back on set.

MSN quote Patsy as saying: “It would be lovely for her to come back and just personally for her to get back to work and be doing stuff would be great, because she looks so fantastic.”

Danniella left the soap opera in 2000 after battling with a very public cocaine addiction, she was subsequently replaced by Kim Medcalf as Sam Mitchell.

On her own return to the show Patsy said:

“It feels the same actually, you know I never kind of thought it would but it feels the same as before so it’s really nice. You kind of go back and everybody is so friendly, it’s such a fantastic cast and crew it really is so it just feels kind of like you have never been away.”
