Fans of EastEnders will most likely know that Patsy Palmer is now back on the set of EastEnders in her role as Bianca Jackson, however, during an interview with The Sun’s TV magazine, Patsy has implied that she may not be back for long!
She of course temporarily left the show a few months ago in order to spend time with her young family, while in the show, Bianca went to prison for assault.
And as we reported recently, when Bianca gets back to Walford, she’s going to find it hard to adjust to life on the outside and being a single parent.
Of how Bianca copes in her first few days of freedom, Patsy said, “She gets a trial at Booty’s beauty salon.
“I don’t know how long it will last – you know what she’s like – but it gives me something different to do with the character instead of moping about and moaning…
“I’m not sure what they’ve got planned for Bianca this time around, but the way EastEnders goes, one minute you’re here, the next you’re watching your own funeral being filmed!”
Of her time off, which she spent with husband Richard Merkell and their children Charley, Fenton, Emilia and 23-month-old Bertie, Patsy said, “We went to Ibiza, which was just amazing.
“I know people don’t think of it as relaxing but it’s such a beautiful island.
“I was out a lot as well – I went to P Diddy’s party – but I was just grateful to have that time with the kids.”
But as mentioned above, Patsy doesn’t know how long she’ll stay at EastEnders for, saying that she back “for a little while,” adding, “We’ll see how it pans out.”
And while discussing another EastEnders star who’s on a sabbatical, Charlie Brooks – who is of course currently competing on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here – Patsy said that she thought Charlie had been gearing up for the jungle!
She said, “The last time Charlie and her [seven-year-old] daughter Kiki came to visit me they’d been camping and were muddied up to the eyeballs.”
But when asked if she’d ever consider following in Charlie’s footsteps and starring on I’m A Celeb, Patsy said, “If I went into that jungle, I’d have a nervous breakdown.
“I’d be grumpy if I couldn’t eat anything and if a rat came near me I’d completely freak out.
“I’d be crying, desperate to get home because I’d really miss my kids. It’d be the biggest disaster you ever watched on telly.”
Which is why we’d love to see her on there!
Anyway, here’s a reminder of Bianca’s return last Christmas…
