EastEnders releases details of Children In Need 2012 scenes!

This year’s BBC Children In Need telethon airs this Friday – so there won’t be an episode of EastEnders on that night – and as usual, the cast of EastEnders will be taking part in the appeal…

The exact details of the sketches and so on that the cast will be filming are for the most part being kept a surprise for viewers on the night, but last week, The Apprentice mogul Lord Alan Sugar filmed scenes on the set of the show.

And today, the BBC have released images of his time on-set, as well as revealing that actress Nina Wadia – who plays Zainab Masood – will front a special report on The Friendship Project, a scheme that’s backed by Children In Need.

The show’s official website adds, “Shona McGarty will be demonstrating her impressive vocal talents” on the night of the telethon…

But back to Lord Sugar and the scenes he filmed on the Square, as you’ll see in the images below, he met with Shane Richie who plays Alfie Moon, Perry Fenwick, who plays Billy Mitchell, Adam Woodyatt as Ian Beale and Nitin Ganatra who plays the role of Masood.

At the time, Lord Sugar said, “It’s not every day you find yourself in Albert Square giving Alfie Moon and Ian Beale a piece of your mind…

“But it’s been a really fun day – especially as it’s for Children in Need, a cause that means a lot to me.”

Shane Richie added, “It’s always great to be a part of BBC Children in Need.

“We are on such a tight schedule at the moment filming for Christmas, but everyone at EastEnders always pull together to do something special for the big night.

“It is such a great charity and makes a real difference to so many children. Doing the sketch was great, we really enjoyed it.

“Lord Sugar is now working out how to become a regular in The Vic and I am working out how to become a Lord!”

Children In Need airs on BBC One from 7.30pm on Friday, November 16, but for now, here’s a reminder of a former CIN EastEnders special, followed by images of Lord Sugar’s visit…
