The sister of Eastenders actor Ricky Norwood has begged him to meet with her, after a family feud kept them apart for six years.
Annalee Norwood claims that she and her famous half-brother were always close as children, adding that it was only when her mum threw her out of the family home that they lost touch.
Ricky, 22, won a Best Newcomer gong at last week’s National Television Awards and attended the ceremony with his girlfriend and Sugagbabe singer Jade Ewen.
Annalee told The Sun:
“When I first saw Ricky on TV I was taken aback, speechless. I couldn’t stop crying.
“My daughter Alivia is four and the only place she has seen her uncle is on EastEnders.
“I so desperately want him to meet his niece. She has his green eyes and I think it’s because I thought about him so much during my pregnancy.”
The mum of one says that she was angry with her brother, when he refused to convince his mum to allow her to return home.
Annalee said: “My mum threw me out – it was a devastating time. I was homeless. I lost everything. I asked Ricky to bring me some clothes but he said he wouldn’t be piggy in the middle and if I wanted something I would have to come to the house.
“I went into a download spiral and had a breakdown. I haven’t seen him for six years.”
“The only phone number I have just goes to voicemail. I know roughly where he lives with Jade but I wouldn’t want to just knock on the door in case he rejected me.
“I am so proud of him and I do love him. I feel funny when I hear his voice.
“I got in touch with my mum at the beginning of last year but she said he was concentrating on his career and seeing me would set him back.
“I do miss my brother. I don’t want money from him but I want my daughter to be able to say, ‘That is my uncle’.”
