Eastenders: Rita Simons Thanks Samantha Janus For Award
After winning an trophy on this years National Television Awards, Eastenders actress Rita Simons has thanked her co-star, Samantha Janus for all her help and influence over the last year.
The actress, who plays Roxy Slater in the BBC soap, won the Best Newcomer prize at this year’s National Television Awards.
“In all honesty, I would not have won the award if it wasn’t for Sam. She has got a lot more experience than I have and taught me so much,” she told the Daily Star.
“We have become incredibly close over the last year and I owe her a big thank you.”

Rita really deserves this award. Ever since she came to the square, my eyes have not turned away from EastEnders.
I am really looking forward to seeing what is going to happen with her in EastEnders in the future.
